Terms of use

The terms for using the myip.dk website, tools, and API.

Using myip.dk

myip.dk is run by Michael N. Jensen. By using the website, its tools, or its API you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

A free service, provided as is

The site and API are free and are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Results come from your connection, our server, and third-party data providers; they can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Check important results independently before relying on them, for example before changing a network configuration.

There is no uptime guarantee. Tools, the API, and their limits can change or be withdrawn at any time.

Acceptable use

  • Use the tools and API lawfully and only for networks, names, and addresses you have a legitimate reason to look up.
  • Respect the published rate limits and the Retry-After header. Do not try to get around limits, for example by spreading requests over many addresses.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or the services it relies on.
  • Do not present myip.dk results as your own service or imply that myip.dk endorses you.

Access can be limited or blocked for anyone who breaks these rules.

Content and links

The text, guides, and design of myip.dk are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with a link to the source page. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

The site shows advertising from Google AdSense. Advertisers are responsible for their ads, and a link in an ad is not a recommendation from myip.dk. How advertising uses cookies is described in the privacy policy.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, myip.dk is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site, its tools, or its API. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Danish law. These terms can change; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Questions are welcome at site@myip.dk.
